Jon then looks at Obama's announcement stating that he is starting an exploratory committee in a segment called Countdown to Obamania. Jon then looks at the American Idol premiere with John Hodgman, Resident Expert. Finally, Rob Riggle looks at local politics with a man who changed his name to Andy Griffith in order to run in the election for local sheriff.
