Eric John Ernest Hobsbawm CH FRSL FBA (/หˆhษ’bz.bษ”หm/; 9 Juni 1917 โ€“ 1 Oktober 2012) adalah sejarawan Britania yang ahli di bidang kebangkitan kaptalisme industri, sosialisme,dan nasionalisme. Dia dianggap sebagai salah satu sejarawan paling terkenal di dunia.[1] Selama hidupnya dia merupakan penganut ideologi Marxis, keyakinan sosial politiknya memengaruhi karakter dari karya-karyanya.[2] Salah satu karyanya yang paling terkenal termasuk buku trilogi mengenai apa yang dia sebut "long 19th century" (abad ke-19 yang panjang), yaitu The Age of Revolution: Europe 1789โ€“1848, The Age of Capital: 1848โ€“1875, dan The Age of Empire: 1875โ€“1914.
