Study of a River adalah sebuah film eksperimental 1997 garapan Peter Hutton. Film eksperimental tersebut berfokus pada bagian pertama dari sebuah studi musim dingin terhadap Sungai Hudson.

Film tersebut memenangkan "Penghargaan Film Pendek Yang Paling Banyak Ditonton" di Festival Film Pendek Internasional Oberhausen 1997. Pada 2010, film tersebut terpilih untuk disajikan oleh Pendaftaran Film Nasional.
